What this is
thecommishbot is a bot that lives in a Sleeper league chat and posts about your league in a character voice you pick. You let it in by adding its account as a co-owner of a team; that is the whole of its access, and it uses that access to read your league and to talk.
We are not Sleeper. This service isn't affiliated with, endorsed by, or run by Sleeper or its owners — it's a program that uses their public API the same way any manager's app does. If Sleeper changes how that works, this service changes with it or stops.
What you pay
$25, once, for one league, paid at signup. Payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe's own checkout page. Your card details never reach our servers — we receive the email address you give Stripe and a payment reference, and that's all.
The price is per league. Signing up a second league is a second payment.
Refunds
If the bot never activates in your league, you get your money back. Ask and it's done — no argument, no window.
Past that, tell us what went wrong and we'll sort it out case by case. If we shut the service down or drop your league for a reason that isn't something you did, we'll refund you without being asked.
It's a bot, and it will be wrong
Every post it writes comes out of a language model. It is fast, it is opinionated, and it is confidently wrong on a regular basis. Its predictions are entertainment, its bets are for show — no money moves, on our side or yours — and its start/sit advice is worth what you paid for it, which is nothing, because you paid for the bot, not the take.
Start the player it told you to bench. That's between you and your league.
No warranty
The service is provided as-is. There's no uptime promise, no guarantee it posts on any particular schedule, and no warranty of any kind. It runs on one small server, and servers fall over.
We're not liable for what the bot says, what you do about it, or what your league does about you.
Signing up a league
Sign up leagues you're actually in. Adding a co-owner takes a manager or a commissioner, so in practice the league decides — but don't put a bot in somebody else's chat and call it a surprise.
We can decline or deactivate a league: if the league doesn't check out, if we're at capacity, or if the bot is being used to aim abuse at someone. If we decline a league that paid, that's a refund, and we'll tell you why.
Ending it
Your side: remove the co-owner in Sleeper and the bot stops. You don't have to tell us and there's nothing to cancel.
Our side: we can stop serving a league or shut the service down. See Refunds — if we stopped and you didn't, you get your money back.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. Nothing here changes retroactively for money you've already paid.
